Telework Agreement

What is the Telework Agreement and why must I fill out?

The Telework Agreement is a contract made between UMBC and the employee detailing how and when the employee is permitted to regularly work away from the office.



How do I fill out the Telework Agreement?

The employee can initiate the Telework Agreement or someone can initiate it for them. The initiator must provide a Begin Date and End Date and provide the name and email for each role in the workflow (Note: the dates cannot be more than one year apart). They will also be prompted to indicate any overlap between the Supervisor, Department Head, and Division Head roles. This will ensure that the form is routed to the correct people and no one will have to sign twice.

In order to complete the form, the Teleworker must include:

  • Address and Phone Number for both their Office and Remote Workplace.

  • Total work hours to be completed at each location.

  • Assignments and expected delivery dates (for Flexible Hours only).

  • Description of Remote Work Space.
