TS Meeting 9/18/09

Meeting minutes taken by Jennifer Fitch.

Present: Lynda, Jo Ann, Jen, Tricia, Vicki, Darlene, Ping, and Pat.

1. Announcements

   • There were no major announcements made. Pat did talk to us about the impending furloughs.

2. LEC update

   • OIT staff made a visit to the library. The idea was to share their vision and how that fits with the library.

     • Some ideas talked about by OIT were:

       • the outdated phone system

       • virtual environment

       • software

       • security

     • OIT staff will be back in early October to discuss the public computers on the 7th floor.

   • Pandemic Planning

     • "Elements of Pandemic Planning" have been posted on the wiki.

     • also a system of self report has been put in place by OIT

   • The Vault in special collections is done and digital collections are up.

3. Cleaning computers

   • Tricia is talking to LITS about the best way to clean the computers. She will then let us know what supplies may be needed.

4. Computer problems.

   • Please call or email LITS with any computer problems you might be experiencing. Do not troubleshoot yourself. May and Steve are trying to track their needs in hopes of having proper student employee support.
