Mac OS X comes with a SSH client pre-installed.

  1. Go to Applications > Utilities

  2. Start the Terminal application.

  3. Type ssh johndoe@gl.umbc.edu

  4. When the notice regarding "The key for this host has never been seen before." appears, accept and save the key.

  5. Enter your password.
