How do I change the screen resolution on my computer?

Please select your operating system below:

 Mac OS X
  1. Click on the Apple logo in the upper-left corner of your display.
  2. Click System Preferences, then click Displays.
  3. Click Display if it is not already selected.
  4. Select a resolution from the list of available resolutions.
  5. Mac OS X immediately applies the new setting.
 Windows
  1. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button > Control Panel.
  2. Under Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.
  3. Click the drop-down list next to Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply.
  4. Click Keep to use the new resolution.
If you are changing the display for a screen cast, the best resolution is 800x600 or 1024x768.
