I'm getting a "Phone Services Disconnected" error in Webex. What should I do?

This common issue is typically resolved by checking to make sure there are no pending updates in Webex.

If there are no pending updates, the following suggestions can also help to resolve this issue..

  1. Close and reopen Webex

• If using Windows, open Task Manager and make sure Webex is not running.
• If using MacOS open Activity Monitor and make sure Webex is not running.
• Open Webex.

  1. If Webex Phone Service is still disconnected:

• Sign out of Webex.
• Close Webex.
• If using Windows, open Task Manager and make sure Webex is not running.
• If using MacOS, open Activity Monitor and make sure Webex is not running.
• Open Webex.
• Sign into Webex using your UMBC email address.
• Sign into Phone Service with your UMBC username (without @umbc.edu).

  1. If Webex Phone Service is still disconnected, Reset the Webex app database as follows:

• In Webex, select the Help menu.
• Select Health Checker.
• Select "Reset" next to the Database status at the bottom of the window.

  1. If Webex Phone Service is still disconnected, please follow the steps on the following page for your computer type to clear the Webex cache:

Mac
