Pearson MyLab, Mastering, and Revel

May 2023 Update

The Pearson Blackboard LTI integration was recently updated to LTI 1.3, which will enhance the Blackboard experience for Pearson MyLab, Mastering and Revel courseware. This upgrade does not impact the "My Textbooks & Course Resources" links in courses using CMI materials with VitalSource. Instructors do not need to add the Pearson link if they are using a partner integration like VitalSource for the Course Materials Initiative (CMI).

Note: If you have copied Pearson links, assignments, and grade columns from a course using a previous Pearson integration type, such as LTI 1.1 or Partner Cloud, into your Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 courses, please delete those links, assignments, and gradebook columns from the new course and then add links using the new LTI 1.3 integration.

Student Access

Content must be deployed to a Blackboard course for students to access a publisher integration through the Content Market. The first time students access Pearson content in Blackboard, they will be asked to accept the End-User License Agreement and to create a Pearson user account. They must also purchase access or use a code provided by the UMBC Bookstore. If your course uses Pearson materials through CMI, then students will access their Pearson materials using the CMI "My Textbooks & Course Resources" link in the course.
