January 22, 2025 | Instructors Cannot Post Grades when Automatic Zeros Enabled | 000090268 | Instructors Cannot Post Grades for Attempts That Have Automatic Zeros Enabled and are Set To Manually Post Grades. When attempts are set to use automatic zeros for overdue tests as well as to manually post grades, once they are submitted, the auto-zeros posts the auto-zero grade causing the system to consider the auto-zero as a posted grade. Also, the system does not provide a button to manually post the actual attempt impeding the instructor to post the real attempt grade. This issue arises in a specific scenario: when an attempt is first assigned an Automatic Zero and subsequently submitted. In this case, although the grade is shown as posted due to the automatic zero, the actual score for the attempt is not displayed. This leaves the instructor without the option to post the new grade. The issue persists regardless of whether the view is set to complete/incomplete or as points or percentage. Workaround: Activate the 'Post grades automatically' feature instead of posting grades manually. | |
