IR Assistant Trainee Expectations

This applies to any time you’re training to do something new until your doing the work with 95% accuracy

  1. When learning a new task, take notes, and during each shift spend time organizing and reviewing your notes.

  2. When you’re trained to do a new task, read the documentation of that task in case your trainer forgot to tell you something. If you note any difference between the documentation and what your trainer told you to do, please let Michelle know.

  3. When uncertain, or when encountering something new, you ask questions. Do not guess.

  4. Your focus will be on producing error free work. That means spending time building knowledge, good work habits, and working slowly until work is mostly error free (for example, when filling in a spreadsheet, only 1 out of 20 lines has an error).

  5. Each shift, you need review procedures, tutorials, and your notes pertinent to your training until you know the content.

  6. All work must be checked for errors as it’s completed.

  7. When you receive corrections, record the errors made in you’re notes and review them with with your other notes to ensure that the same errors don’t happen repeatedly.

  8. Be aware of resources needed to do your work and where to find those resources.

  9. You should spend time setting up your computer and browser for efficient work.
