edX Edge Enviroments
edX Edge Enviroments
There are two edX Edge environments that will be important in the design and delivery of an edX Edge course.
Course Delivery Instance (also known as "Edge")
This is where learners/students participate/engage with the course content.
Course Authoring/Creation Instance (also known as "Studio")
This is where the Course Team/Lead design and develop the course (content, assessments, activities, etc.)
Please note that all requests for Course Creator access will be denied. The Office of Instructional Technology at UMBC maintains the authoring of any new edX Edge courses hosted through UMBC. If you would like to request a course shell in edX Edge, please submit an RT describing your need for an edX Edge course shell.
