How do I create an edX Edge account?

For UMBC Users/Learners

For instructors/facilitators to access edX Edge and courses, you must create an account.

If you're participating in the Greater Washington Partnership (GWP) Digital Generalist competencies/courses, you must create an edX Edge account using your UMBC credentials in order to receive acknowledgement of completion (ex. badges).

Visit https://edge.edx.org/register.

If you created an account on https://edx.org, your account credentials will not work on edX Edge and you must go through the account creation process.
Select the Google icon to use your UMBC credentials to sign in/create an edX Edge account.
Enter your UMBC email address and click Next.
Enter your UMBC username/email address and password and select Log In.
Complete your account creation by filling out the account form.

After completing the account creation process, you will see your edX Edge course dashboard. Not seeing any courses? You will need to enroll with a provided course URL.

For Non-UMBC Users/Learners

Visit https://.edx.org/register.
Complete the form with your name, email, a secure password, and Country/Region. You may also create an edX Edge account using your Facebook or Google social identity account.
