Yes, you can share files in Box with someone outside of UMBC easily using one of the two methods below:

1. Mouse over the file you’d like to share

2. Click the Share link that appears

3. Change the access type to "People With Link"
   
   
   

4. In the new section, you’ll see a secure link to the file that lets the recipient view and download it.

Note: You can click on the advance settings and set an expiration date for the link and also permit (or not) downloading.
