Why should I use a UMBC Box account instead of my personal Box account?

Box at UMBC has many features that are not available for free personal Box account users. These include:

Upload files up to 50GB in size (free personal Box account limit: 250MB).
Use your myUMBC password (i.e. single-sign-on) to access your account.
Share files with password protection.
Search the contents of files and folders.
Access download statistics and tracking information.
Keep track of upto 100 file versions.

IMPORTANT Note on Personal Box Accounts.

Have a personal Box.com account registered under your UMBC email address (e.g. username@umbc.edu) and want to use UMBC's Box system?

If you already have a personal Box account that uses your UMBC email address, you can't sign up for a UMBC Box account until you change the email address on your personal Box account to a non-UMBC email address.

STEP 1: Login to your personal Box account and change the email to Non-UMBC email address
