How do I reopen my closed RT ticket?

If your Ticket has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you can reopen the ticket by simply replying to the resolution email you received when the ticket was closed. Be sure to enter a detailed description/reason of why you are reopening the ticket.

Once you send the reply, your ticket will be reopened and the UMBC personnel assigned to resolve your ticket will be notified via email.

Note: Make sure to reply directly to the email. Do NOT change the To: address to the person who resolved the request. This allows the ticket to be reopened within the RT system and adds your reply to the existing ticket history. It also ensures your request can be addressed by another staff member in the office should the original resolver of the ticket not be immediately available.
