Installing Alpine for Windows

Follow the steps below to install Alpine on a Windows machine. 

  1. Go to the patched version of PC-Alpine

  2. Download the Windows Binary for the latest version of PC-Alpine (version 2.25 as of 8/3/2022).

  3. When your download is complete, unzip the file and click on alpine.exe.

  4. When Alpine first runs it will open an Alpine Configuration Setup screen that will ask you to locate your personal configuration file:


  5. You can choose to use a remote configuration file that will be stored on the IMAP server (the first option),

    or a local configuration file stored on your computer's hard drive:



  6. Whichever option you choose, check the option to "Use this as the default Alpine Configuration"
