Business Alias | Mail is sent to an email address (alias) which in turn sends a copy to 1 or more separate user email accounts. Example:SampleAlias@umbc.edu would send mail to user1@umbc.edu, user2@umbc.edu etc. User 1 and User 2 can set up their UMBC Gmail account to Send As SampleAlias@umbc.edu User 1 and User 2 can set up filters to separate mail sent to SampleAlias@umbc.edu One user is assigned as the owner of the alias, and they can add and remove users who will receive a copy of the mail sent to the alias SampleAlias@umbc.edu

Delegated Mailbox | Real Gmail account is setup SampleMailboxName@umbc.edu User 1 & User 2 then have delegated access to this account from their UMBC Gmail account
Password for SampleMailboxName@umbc.edu is never shared, thus making it secure
