How do I change my VOIP voicemail greeting?

To Call Voicemail Using Your VOIP Phone

On your VOIP phone, press the Messages button.

To Call Voicemail from Another On-Campus Phone or From Off-Campus

Dial x58880 from an on campus phone (including the Columbus Center) or dial 410-455-8880 from an off campus phone or cell phone.

Do NOT enter your extension number when the system answers and says you can enter an extension number at any time.  Instead, press * after the system answers, then when prompted for your ID, enter your 4 or 5 digit extension number and press #.

Changing Your Voicemail Greeting that Callers Hear

• The voicemail system will ask for your PIN/passcode.  Enter your PIN/passcode.

• Press 4 for Setup Options.

• Press 1 to Change Your Greetings.

• Press 1 to Rerecord Your Greeting.

• Follow the rest of the prompts to rerecord and save your greeting.
  
  

Once you are finished following the prompts, hang up.   

Changing Other Voicemail Greetings

• The voicemail system will ask for your PIN/passcode.  Enter your PIN/passcode.

• Press 4 for Setup Options.

• Press 1 to Change Your Greetings.

• The system will play your Standard Greeting and then list options.  Press 3 To Edit Other Greetings.

• Follow the rest of the prompts to rerecord and save your greeting.
  
  

Once you are finished following the prompts, hang up.   

Changing Your Recorded Name

• The voicemail system will ask for your PIN/passcode.  Enter your PIN/passcode.

• Press 4 for Setup Options.

• Press 3 for Preferences.

• Press 2 to Record or Rerecord your Recorded Name.

• Follow the rest of the prompts to rerecord and save your Recorded Name.
  
  

Once you are finished following the prompts, hang up.
