How do I log into Blackboard and access my courses?

Option 1: MyUMBC
Access myUMBC and log in using your UMBC credentials
Locate your name in the top right corner and identify the Bb icon
Click the OPEN button.
Your Blackboard dashboard will appear with the list of courses you are enrolled in or teaching for the current semester.
Option 2: Direct Link
Navigate to http://blackboard.umbc.edu.
Click on the yellow UMBC logo button or select the link that says Log into Blackboard via myUMBC.
Login to myUMBC using your UMBC ID and password.
Your Blackboard dashboard will appear with the list of courses you are enrolled in for the current semester.

Do you have a full-access, activated myUMBC account?
Upgrade your internet browser (Chrome or Firefox highly recommended).
Verify your Internet connection, preferably broadband / hi-speed.
Check that the Internet browser is taking you to the right address: https://blackboard.umbc.edu
Please check the DoIT website http://doit.umbc.edu for any Blackboard downtime announcement which would prevent you to log in.
