How do I sign in to Adobe Creative Cloud?

Adobe Creative Cloud logo, which is a red cloud.

The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app is the main portal for accessing and licensing Adobe applications and services. For any Adobe application to license and function, you must be signed in to the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app automatically licenses and signs you in to any Adobe applications installed on your computer. You don’t need to sign in to individual Adobe applications if you are already signed in to Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. To ensure your access to Adobe applications and services, please sign into the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app as illustrated in the instructions below.

  1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

  2. Type in your UMBC email address and then click Continue.
NOTE: Do not use email aliases as they will fail the license process. You must use your default UMBC email address. If you signed in using an email alias, sign out and then sign in again using your default UMBC email address.

NOTE: Never sign into the Adobe Creative Cloud through Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, or Continue with Apple as doing so will fail the license process and will only give you access to trial versions of Adobe applications until you sign in correctly.

  3. Click Company or School Account.
NOTE: If you are UMBC faculty/staff member, never select Personal Account as doing so will fail to license anything and you will only have access to trial versions of Adobe applications until you sign in correctly. The Personal Account selection is only for non-UMBC managed Adobe accounts (for example, personal Adobe licenses purchased from Adobe or students who purchased Adobe licenses from the OnTheHub store). If you signed in incorrectly, sign out and select Company or School Account when you sign in again.

  6. If you run into any issues after signing in (for example, only seeing trial versions of Adobe applications), please sign out of the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app and then sign in again as illustrated in steps 1 - 4 above. If that does not work or you have other Adobe Creative Cloud access issues, please submit an RT Ticket to receive assistance.
