How do I request transcription for my Panopto video?



UMBC supports transcription and closed captioning to assure equal access to the screencast resources faculty develop. DoIT will only provide captions/transcriptions for videos < 15 minutes. Please be aware that DoIT cannot support transcription or closed captioning for materials that are not the intellectual property of the faculty requesting the service.



To request transcription for a completed Panopto screencast. Please first navigate to your video and select Settings >  Share then select "Anyone at your organization with the link" from "Who has access".

Copy this link to submit to the Video Captioning/Transcription Services request form. One may submit up to 4 video URLs at a time via the RT form.
