Substitutions and Exceptions

Before you begin...

A substitution or exception allows an undergraduate student to substitute one course for another within their academic program.

A Course Substitution request determines whether a course that is not part of the student's academic program requirement can be used to fulfills a specific course requirement in the program's normal academic program requirements. A course substitution does not replace prerequisite requirements a student may need to enroll in a course.

A Course Exception requests determines whether a course that is not part of the student's academic program requirement can be waived. A course exception does not replace neither prerequisite requirements nor other academic requirements (i.e.: 120 credit requirement) a student may need to complete their degree program.
