Can the search be limited to our space only? If not, can we add a search box to the left nav panel which will search our space only?

not currently. Atlassian recommends extending the search and then filtering the results. More testing needed.

Can a space admin add people to or remove people from a group created by another space admin?

yes.   We will need to come up with some best practices or etiquette for space admins

Can we easily export XHTML from Confluence back to our website?

option 1: right-click on the page, view page source and copy the HTMl for the content portion of the page; option 2: use the Export Space link (under Browse Space > Advanced) to select multiple pages for export at once

tested with Lindsey - Lindsey created a group (PastPerfect) and then created a page under the Committees hierarchy and restricted both view and edit rights to the PastPerfect group only

Janet was not able to see the pages, however the Space Admin page includes a link to Restricted Pages which allows all space admins to view all restricted pages and alter permissions set by other space admins

create group (library-test-space) with users jhack (space admin) and jfultz1 (space user); create links using hide-from and show-to macros for both internal Confluence links & external links; see if other users and space admins (not in the group) can view links;

links can be displayed to select groups only, however you must also restrict editing privileges for the page since all links are visible when editing the page

attachments cannot be restricted, but the restrictions on the parent page carry over to the attachments (if the page has restricted editing the attachments have the same restrictions).  attachments on restricted pages do not show up in the attachments list (under Browse Space) unless you have permission to view them.  Users can edit attachments but not remove them (permission settings as of 4/18/2008)
