Charge for the Resource Discovery Working Group

Under the direction of the Discovery Services Librarian the Resource Discovery Working Group will support the work of the Discovery Services Librarian and is tasked with:

• Researching and ensuring that best practices for resource discovery are implemented regardless of platform.

• Assisting with developing a work plan which establishes priorities and timelines for activities related to implementing, maintaining, and improving our discovery services.

• Assisting with testing and evaluation of our discovery services including collecting and evaluating user data and staff comments/concerns regarding resource discovery services.

• Assisting with provision of feedback sessions and training sessions to all library staff.

• Developing a plan for communication and PR of resource discovery services.

  Membership: Led by the Discovery Services Librarian, this group will have a membership of 4-5 individuals.  When necessary, other staff may be invited to participate in the meetings. LEC will make the initial appointments for the working group membership.
