How to install MATLAB

  1. Sign in to your UMBC MathWorks account: Go here, click Sign in to get started, and sign in using your myUMBC credentials. 

  2. Click Get Started. On the top right of the page, click Install MATLAB (or go here) and download the installer for the version of MATLAB you want.

  3. After downloading the installer, click the installer to run it. 

  4. Enter your UMBC email address, sign in to myUMBC using your UMBC credentials, select Yes to accept the license agreement and then click Next to continue the setup.

  5. Select the MATLAB (Individual) license, click Next, and follow the remaining onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
