How do I place a call using my on-campus phone?

To place a call to an internal number:
Pick up the handset and dial the 5 digit on campus extension. For example, the UMBC TSC's number is 410-455-3838. Their on-campus extension would be 53838.
To place a local off campus call:
Pick up the handset and dial 9 before dialing an off campus number.
Local off campus fax would be dialed the same way, 9 followed by the number.
To place a long distance or international call:
If the number is long distance or international you will need to dial 9 then 1 then the number.
Once you have completed dialing the long distance or international number you will hear 3 beeps. Enter you FAC code followed by pound.
Long distance or international fax will make sure of the pause key on your fax machine. To fax, dial 9, then 1, pause button, then the number, then your FAC code.
