myUMBC and Student Administration Implementation
myUMBC is evolving to better serve the campus. Between now and the end of the Fall term 2009 you will see a number of changes. Some will be visual, with a new look and feel to myUMBC and some will be transactional, with new business systems (SA) supporting the university's administrative functions. These new business systems will offer new and improved services across many areas, the most prominent will be:
- Registration & class selection
- Advising (clearances, authorizations, checking degree progress)

For students, there will be new self service functions available where they can:
- View financial aid information
- View their accounts and make payments
- Check Student Alerts
- Check their degree completion status
Faculty will be able to:
- View up to date student academic information
- View class rosters and waitlists
- Grant course permissions and exceptions
- Provide advising clearances/authorizations
- On-line grade submissions (From Summer 2009 forward)
