What's the difference between the Degree Planner and the Degree Audit?
The Degree Audit tells the students what courses they have taken, how they are being used, and courses they still need to take in order to graduate. The Degree Planner on the other hand, displays the requirements and shows the students a pathway towards graduation and how their progress is impacted if they fail to meet a requirement or do not enroll in a course they have planned to take.
It is important to note that the planner does not replace the degree audit and that the degree audit will continued to be use for evaluating all graduation requirements. Students should view both reports throughout the academic year and their time at UMBC.
