Tell Me
Most professional schools require a bachelor's degree, with the exception of some, such as nursing or pharmacy. The pre-professional pathways at UMBC are not academic majors. For this reason, if a student is seeking admission to a professional school that requires completion of a bachelor's degree, the student must select an academic major, in addition to completing pre-requisite coursework for the desired professional program.
For more information, visit the individual pre-professional programs pages on the Office for Academic & Pre-Professional Advising or the Pre-Med/Vet/Dental/Optometry websites.
