What is the Digital Media Lab (DML)?

The Digital Media Lab (DML) is a space where the UMBC community can work on audio, video, and graphic design projects and check out A/V equipment for three days. The DML is located on the 2nd floor in room 216H and includes a recording room, sound isolation booth, and more. All equipment and spaces are available on a first-come, self-service basis.

Audio Recording Equipment

  • Zoom H4n Recorder

  • Sony ECM-44B Lavalier Microphone

  • Rode NT1-A Condenser Microphone & Stand

Video Recording Equipment

  • Panasonic AG-HMC40 AVCCAM HD Camcorder

  • Lowel Tota/Omni Core 44 Kit

  • Magnus VT-4000 Tripod System with Fluid Head

Other Equipment

  • Backdrop Alley Studio Stand

  • Expression 11000XL Graphic Arts Scanner

 

The 4 iMac workstations have the following software:

  • Adobe CC (Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

  • Final Cut Pro X

  • Audacity

  • Blender

  • GarageBand
