Can I use media items in the library?
Can I use media items in the library?
Answer
Yes. All media items may be viewed or listened to at one of the stations on the 2nd floor or any computer in the library. The 2nd floor stations include DVD, region-free, and Blu-ray players; there is also a TV/VCR combo and record player for use. Many of the TVs have cable television, and all remotes are attached to the equipment.
Headphones may be loaned at the 1st floor Check Out desk. Non-UMBC users are required to leave a valid photo ID with library staff to use media items (certain restrictions apply).
Groups of three or more may elect to use the small group viewing room (258). Online bookings can be submitted in advance at http://umbc.libcal.com/booking/258
