How do I manage who appears under my department in the UMBC Directory search?

The UMBC Directory Search offers a Browse by Department feature that allows you to see all of the people affiliated with a university department. At times, people may incorrectly appear as part of a department. Correcting this problem depends on the person's affiliation with UMBC:
If a person appears under the wrong department (or doesn't appear at all):
Individuals manage which departments they appear under. You should contact them and ask them to update their directory info in myUMBC.
If the person is no longer affiliated with UMBC:
Double-check with HR that the person is no longer on payroll. It is a common occurrence for people to still be listed on payroll, even though they are no longer receiving paychecks.
If you have confirmed that they are no longer considered an employee by HR, you should submit a ticket requesting that this person's directory listing be updated with the latest HR data.
Important: If a person's HR data is still incorrect, we won't be able to update the directory listing.
