How do I setup my security questions to reset a forgotten password?

This article applies to those who know their current myUMBC password and want to setup security questions to reset a forgotten password. If you do not remember your current password, please see I have forgotten my myUMBC password. What should I do? for more information.

Login to myUMBC
Click Profile at the top of the screen
Under Settings in the left sidebar, select Security
Click the button to Edit your Security Settings
Provide the information as prompted
- Alternate e-mail address
- Mobile Phone
- Choose three security questions, and then create answers that you will remember
Click Update my Security Settings to save the changes you made
