Disaster Preparedness Meeting May 20 2010 Minutes

Going over what will go into disaster preparedness plans. Will pull out parts of existing UMBC Library plans.
Went over Index to the proposed plan.
Stephen proposed thinking of disasters as comprising two fairly distinct subjects - disaster/emergency preparedness (what needs to be done when an emergency/disaster appears imminent or is in progress) and disaster recovery (what to do after the disaster has occurred) Next steps Stephen will provide information to Susan on computer and electronic equipment locations.
Susan will work on floor plans from the standpoint of locations of different formats. Tom (SpecColl), Kelly (Serials and Media), and Robin (Reference and Stacks) will assist by providing locations of formats.
Gail and LaTanya will work on floor plans from the standpoint of evacuations and phone tree, emergency contact listings (campus). 
Lindsey and LaTanya will meet with LEC regarding Guideline 551.
