LEEC Minutes

May 6, 2009
Present: Robin Martin, Gergana Kostova, Katy Sullivan, Simmona Simmons, Tricia Mott, LaTanya West (Chair)

Welcomed new members Robin, Katy, and Tricia to the group and gave an overview of what LEEC hopes to accomplish for staff. The group plans to have meetings at least once a month on Wednesdays at 2pm - a schedule will be posted soon.

Most of the rest of the meeting was devoted to brainstorming and choosing activities for the upcoming months:

May:  Skillsoft overview; LaTanya will contact the Dept. of Training about scheduling.
June: Open Houses for departments; the format will be a little different and more like a true open house. Departments will set apart a block of time that visitors can come and go instead of sticking to a rigid "tour" type schedule. Hope to schedule by 2nd week of June. Katy and LaTanya will get together about coming up with guidelines and submit them to the group for comment.
July or August: Some type of wellness event(s). Possible topics include- Simple Summer Dishes, Stress, General Health, Exercise, Preventative Care. Tricia will forward information about a contact at UHS.
September: Customer Service- invite a speaker and have discussion; to include internal and external customer service
October: Invite campus Graphic Designer to give pointers on in-house graphic design/marketing
Spring: Possibly visit Goucher's new building

The next meeting will be scheduled before the open houses occur.
