How do I share my screen with the Kramer VIA Chrome extension?
Connecting to VIA (with Chrome Extension)
If you have not already done so, download the Chrome extension for Kramer VIA Screenshare.
Start the Chrome VIA extension.
Enter the IP (Room name) of the Kramer VIA in the Search popup window.
On the login screen, you’ll be asked for a Room Name and a Nickname. The room name will be the IP address of the VIA. You will find this IP address on the TV screen or projected screen(while VIA is running).
An example of this would be 130.85.xxx.xx
Choose a nickname to identify yourself in the VIA session.
Press Login.
A four-digit code will appear on the room's display which you will enter as the Room Code.
Press Login again.
Sharing your device to the display:
After you log in to VIA you will be presented with the main menu. From here you can display your device.
- You will see this screen after logging into VIA with the extension.
- Click the present button and you can choose whether or not you want to show your whole desktop, the chrome browser, or a single chrome tab.
Check the share audio box if you want to send audio as well.
To finish sharing click the stop sharing button on your screen.

Security and Data Privacy:
On Kramer's website, it says, that Kramer uses, receives, collects, processes or stores only Personal Data necessary to provide the Products and operate its business.
VIA needs access to the user's camera if students want to use the QR code that's on the LED screen to connect.
It asks for access to one's contacts because it has a direct contact-to-contact file-sharing function.
