Where are the books?

• Stacks or Stacks-Folio books are located on floors 3 - 7 and are shelved by subject area using the Library of Congress Call Number system.  Folio books are larger than average, and are shelved in the southeast corner of the library on each floor.  See below for a list of call numbers and subjects by floor.

• Leisure Reading collection of current popular fiction and non-fiction titles is located on the first floor near the Check Out Desk.

• Reference books are shelved near the Reference Desk on the first floor; Ready Reference books are kept at the Reference Desk.

• Reserves are available by request at the Check Out desk on the first floor.

• Special Collections materials are located in the Special Collections department, behind the Gallery on the first floor.

• Journals, magazines and newspapers are shelved alphabetically by title on the 2nd floor.

• The Children's Science Collection is shelved by Dewey Decimal Number on the 3rd floor.
