Overview

The Calvert Marine Museum library and archives is a small, research (noncirculating) facility that is open to the public by appointment.  The emphasis is on the three museum themes:  local maritime history, estuarine biology of the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent River, and paleontology of the nearby Calvert Cliffs (Miocene).  Our archives contain some records of local businesses and individuals, and a significant collection of photographs and slides.   Included are some of the research files of the following authors:  Brian Cudahy, Geoffrey Footner, David Holly, and Frederick Tilp.  [one paragraph]
