Goals of Public Services Meetings

1. Establish shared values for Public Services and determine ways to infuse those values into our work and communication;

2. Provide a forum for Public Services staff to discuss and plan regarding topics of importance to the division as a whole;

3. Improve communication within Public Services, between Public Services and other units in the Library, and with other units on campus;

4. Provide opportunities for team-and relationship-building;

5. Provide opportunities for learning and work together to improve staff and student training;

6. Establish processes for generating, evaluating, and implementing new ideas and improvements;

7. Establish processes for recognizing staff achievements and building and maintaining morale;

8. Establish roles and responsibilities and identify opportunities for efficiency;

9. Build consensus and make decisions on future directions, guidelines, projects, and processes that affect everyone
