How can I get books that aren't listed in catalogusmai?

Answer

1. Log into your myUMBC account.
   
   Note: Non-UMBC users must use Interlibrary Loan from their local public or institution library.
   
   
   

2. Find the book you want using the WorldCat catalog of over 9,000 libraries worldwide, or one of our other databases.
   
   
   

3. Select desired book title.
   
   
   

4. Click the "Request it from Interlibrary Loan (ILL)" link to submit your request.
   
   NOTE: If you are requesting a book we recommend that you first check availability through catalogusmai as your ILL request will be denied if the book is available from another University System of Maryland campus.
   
   
   

5. If you are logged into your myUMBC account, the request form book tit should be filled in automatically. Check for errors and click Submit Request.

You will be notified by e-mail when your item is available. You can also check the status of your request by logging on to your Interlibrary Loan account. Journal articles are delivered electronically, and books can be checked out at the Check Out Desk.
