To register your Windows computer for use with the UMBC Residential Wired Network, you'll need to find out your computer's wired ethernet address (MAC Address).

  • Right-click on the start button and select Command Prompt from the menu.
  • Type in ipconfig /all and press Enter. This will display your network configuration. 
  • Scroll down to your wired network adapter and look for the values next to "Physical Address," which is your MAC address.  

Once you have your MAC address, simply follow the instructions in How do I register my device for use with the Residential Wired Network at UMBC?
