Shutdown Procedure

If nothing else, the first six steps are most important.

Leave all cameras connected to power and data, unless otherwise directed by Roy or Eileen.

  1. DC - Ensure all activities have been recorded in blog

  2. CC - Slew Telescope to Zenith by ""

  3. CC - Close Mirror Doors

    1. Navigate to DFMTCS → Telescope → Misc... → Close Mirror Doors (under Switches/Mirror Door tab)

    2. The MDC Mirror Door switch should always remain in "OPEN" position (this allows DFMTCS control)

  4. CC - Close Dome Shutters by ""

    1. Verify with BlueIris

    2. Verify again in dome

  5. In Dome - Turn thermostat to highest temperature setting.

  6. MDC - Disable "MTR DRIVER CHASSIS", "DRIVES", "TRACKING", "AUTO DOME", and press "HALT MOTORS" button (big red, top-right)

  7. CC - Terminate TheSky6 link with telescope by "" and close

  8. CC - Unslave dome to scope, disconnect, close ASCOM Dome Control

  9. CC - Close DFMTCS

  10. DC - Navigate to "Outlet Control" in browser bookmarks bar

    1. The credentials should auto-fill

    2. "Switch Off" outlets 1-4

  11. DC - Ensure all activities have been recorded in blog – again

    1. Publish

  12. DC & CC - Logout

  13. Close/lock all doors
