If in Fall 2015 you were enrolled in a course that is now part of the CMI, you will not need to pay for the course materials again. To remove the charge from your student billing account, we will need a copy of your Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 schedules with your name and student ID visible. You can send it as an attachment to textbook@umbc.edu.

If during or after Spring 2016 you retake a course that is part of the CMI, a charge will be placed on your student billing account if your access to the course materials has expired. You will need to send a copy of your schedules from the semester of your first course attempt and that of your second course attempt. Again, your name and student ID must be visible in the attachment you send to textbook@umbc.edu.

The charge may only be removed if:

  • Proof of retake is sent by the add/drop day of the semester in which you retake the course, and
  • The course materials required for the second course attempt are the same as the course materials required from the first course attempt.
