At the beginning of the fiscal year, use the Foundation Fund Balance Reports (procedure above) to find the values of each foundation fund. Use the Revenues budget summary to find the values of transfer funds.

1. Use the money cup to locate the budgets in the Aleph Acquisitions/Serials module
2. For each budget:
   1. Click on the money cup
   2. Ensure that only the “annual budget” box is checked.
   3. Enter the amount of money available in both boxes.
   4. Click update

If new money is transferred later in the year, follow these same steps, but add the amount of new money available to the amounts in the boxes.

Note: Iif endowments run out of money, up to half of the next fiscal year’s money can be spent by adding the appropriate amount to the value already in the boxes. This is often necessary for big ticket special collections purchases, but can be done for any of the endowments.
