To get started with Amplify GenAI, first make sure that you are logged on to the UMBC VPN. Then in your browser of choice navigate to https://chip.genai.umbc.edu/ . Click the Login button and then you will be presented with the default chat window. From this window you can do the following:
Click the Advanced Conversation Settings button which will open the menu shown in the image below,
Select an AI model
Select from a number of custom instructions, either pre-installed or created by you
Control the temperature of the AI, choosing between more precise answers on one end or more creative answers on the other
Type a prompt to chat with Amplify
Add or manage files for which Amplify to can interact with directly
Manage files that have been added previously
View old conversations
Select the Chat , Share, view Workspaces, and Settingtab to view old conversation or start a new one; Share conversations, prompts, or folders with other users in the UMBC domain; and view Settings such as managing your account, importing and exporting conversations, and affecting your configuration
Add a new Assistant, as well as create a folder for assistant files, or Prompt Template
Manage and select assistants, helpers, and custom instructions for use
And sign out
