Answer

Connect to the Home Volume (H: Drive)

  1. Go to the Finder
  2. Press Command-K
  3. In the dialog for the server address enter:
    smb://uservol.ad.umbc.edu/home/UMBC USERNAME
    (Optionally, You may want to add this path to your favorites by clicking on the plus (plus) button.)
  4. Now press the Connect button

Connect to the PeopleSoft Volume (P: Drive)

  1. Go to the Finder
  2. Press Command-K
  3. In the dialog for the server address enter:
    smb://peopvol.ad.umbc.edu/people
    (Optionally, You may want to add this path to your favorites by clicking on the plus (plus) button.)
  4. Now press the Connect button

Connect to the Department Share Volume (I: Drive)

  1. Go to the Finder
  2. Press Command-K
  3. In the dialog for the server address enter:
    smb://sharedvol.ad.umbc.edu/dept
    (Optionally, You may want to add this path to your favorites by clicking on the plus (plus) button.)
  4. Now press the Connect button

Fill out the fields in this dialog box. The Domain is AD. For the username use your UMBC username.

The password is going to be your AD password which should not be confused with your myUMBC or Novell passwords. Press the OK button to login now.

If you are unable to login, please contact the Helpdesk at 410-455-3838 to request your AD password be reset.

FYI- There is a delay between pressing OK, and your Active Directory drive mounting. That's normal.
