Tell Me

Windows XP

  1. Reboot the machine into Windows XP
  2. Login with your myUMBC username and password
  3. Click Start -> Programs -> UMBC Tera Term Pro SSH -> GL
  4. Login with your myUMBC username and password
  5. Type oitcleanerat the Unix prompt
    • This script was written by one of the Unix staff members and basically looks at your account for tmp files, core dumps, Internet browser cache, and prompts you if you want to delete it

Macintosh OS X

  1. Go to Applications folder
  2. Click Utilities folder
  3. Double-click Terminal program icon
  4. Type

    ssh username@gl.umbc.edu

    at the Unix prompt. Replace the username with your myUMBC ID

  5. Type

    oitcleaner
