What happens if I’m on a waitlist but adding the course would go over the allowed maximum per semester of 19.5? I don’t want to drop a course and need this waitlisted course.

At this point, you will need to discuss your options with your academic advisor and petition to be allowed to take excessive credit by completing the Excess Credit form from the Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising. If approved, you will be allowed to enroll in the excess credit course.
