How do I access my department's shared ("I:") drive from the eLumin GenStaff pool?

At UMBC, each department has a designated shared drive (commonly referred to as an "I:" drive) to share and store documents used by multiple employees. To access this drive in the eLumin virtual environment, you must connect to a GenStaff desktop (the GenLab, Modeling, and Adobe pools are not configured to allow shared drive access).

To connect to your shared drive, you must launch the "Mount Sharedvol" utility available as a shortcut on the GenStaff desktop.

You will then be prompted to sign-in to active directory.  Add your username after the provided "ad\" and your myUMBC password, then click Ok to mount your shared drive.

After a moment, a file explorer window should appear containing a list of available shared drives.  From here you can browse to any drive to which you have access.
