  1. Sign into your UMBC account.
    click on the apps icon (the 3 x 3 square in the upper right hand corner)
    and click on My Account
    Under “Sign-in & security”
    click on ‘Connected apps & sites’
    Then turn on ‘Allow less secure apps’


    Sign into your UMBC account.
    click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select ‘settings’
    under ‘Forwarding and POP/IMAP’
    Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on
    click ‘Add a forwarding address’
    put in your private email account and click ‘Next’
    Then select ‘Proceed’
    Click ‘ok’ when the message ‘A confirmation code has been sent to your personal gmail account to verify permission.’ appears

    You will need to sign into your private gmail account and confirm the request

    Sign into your Private Gmail account.
    click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner and select ‘settings’
    Click ‘Accounts and Import
    Then click on ‘Import from Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL, or other webmail or POP3 accounts.’
    Step 1: Sign into your other email account
    put in your UMBC email
    username@umbc.edu

    Then click on ‘Continue’

    Enter your password word

    For POP username
    username@umbc.edu

    For POP server
    pop.gmail.com

    Step 2: Import options
    click on ‘Start import’

    Step 3: Finish
    click OK
