The Pharos Mobile Print app is still in development and has not yet been released for Android as of this writing. This guide will be updated upon it's release.

Pharos mobile printing enables you to upload images and documents from anywhere on campus to Pharos printer stations. Funds for Pharos printing come from your Campus Card account. For more information about Campus Card and how to add funds to it, please go here: http://campuscard.umbc.edu/about/

  1. Open Chrome, press the options button (the three vertical dots icon on the top right-hand corner of the screen), and select "Request desktop site".

  2. Go to this site: mobileprint.umbc.edu
The Pharos print desktop site will open. Type in your UMBC credentials and press "Log in".

  3. Click "Upload". A window will appear asking for the location of the file on your computer that you want to print. Once you select the file, it may take a few moments to finish uploading.

  4. The file will now appear in the job list. To preview the print job, click the print preview icon that is in the "Print Preview" column of the uploaded file's print job. If you want to add more files to the job list, repeat steps 1 - 4.

  5. To customize the output of your print job (color, double or single sided, etc) go to the "Print options" section towards the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

  6. Review your available funds and the total cost of your print jobs.

  7. If you want to delete a file from the job list, select the document from the list and press the "Delete" icon.

  8. Now you can go to any Pharos station in the Library or in the Engineering building and swipe your Campus ID Card at the printer to print the files you have uploaded.
