What happens if I’m on a waitlist but adding the course would go over the allowed maximum per semester of 19.5? I don’t want to drop a course and need this waitlisted course.

Discuss your options with your academic advisor. If your advisor advises it, you may petition to be allowed to take excess credit by completing the Excess Credit form from the Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising. If approved, you will be allowed to enroll in the excess credit course if a seat becomes available.
